Founded in 1999, Sussex Cars are amongst the first and certainly the longest running independent Smart Car specialists. Starting from small premises at Thakeham Garage in Storrington, Sussex Cars have now grown over the last nine years and last year all the Smart Car business was transferred from the old premises, to a fantastic facility in East Preston, near Littlehampton, in West Sussex. As Andrew Shipp explained, the old garage was far too small to offer the sort of service that we wanted to give our customers, and the move has now allowed us to give the back up that Smart car customers deserve.

The garage has a forecourt that displays 30 Smarts, For Two, For Four and Roadster, and we have a selection from £2999 right through to the latest Smart For Two Mark 8, an example of which we run as a demonstrator.

Inside the showroom we continue with a selection of cars and accessories, and this is were you can expect a warm welcome from Andrew, Gary and Andy. Whilst each member of our team has their own special role in Sussex Cars, we all have one goal in mind which is the service you have become accustomed to when you visit East Preston.

The Workshop facility has to be one of the best in Sussex, with 6 service bays, 2 designed with only Smart Cars in mind, and a staff of dedicated technicians on hand to tend to your cars needs. We are proud of our reputation for fair prices and a detailed knowledge of Smarts, backed up with the official Mercedes Diagnostic machines to make sure that your car gets the thorough attention it deserves.

In addition we have a fully equipped paintshop on site so that we can repair your Smart Car to the very highest standards, and we are now renowned for the Custom paint jobs we can do to make your car stand out from the crowd.
