It pays to get your soft top checked
Here's why you need to make sure your soft top gets checked over....
We had a customer in last week who hadn’t used the roof onthe Cabriolet he owned through the winter and spring. He opened his roof to the 1st position and enjoyed the sunshine.
He was driving at about 35 mph and decided to close the roof. After some fairly nasty noises the roof cables shot out and he stopped with something that looked more like a collapsed umbrella.
He brought the car over to us and Clive the Cabriolet King was able to strip out the old cables and replace them. He lubricated the roof channels and re-phased the roof so that it stopped and clicked into place where it should.
A great result as previously we have had to replace whole mechanisms where the roof has been neglected and that can hurt to the pocket!
